It's Friday, and I just sent out an ezine issue to nearly 2500 people yesterday. If this number represented a live audience to speak in front of, it would be awe-inspiriing to step out on stage in front of that many people. As far as email lists go, however, it's a relatively small audience.
But that's okay, because my focus is elsewhere right now, and strangly enough, it's something that will also help build my mailing list.
About a week ago, I combined a bunch of little ToDo lists into a single, master ToDo list. When I did this, I noticed that several things I had thought of doing fit together perfectly into what is normally considered a "major product launch" sequence.
I wanted to survey my affiliates to find out how they like the current PKP affiliate program and whether I could improve it further. I also wanted to survey my customers and subscribers to find out what new products they may want me to create in the near future. And I also wanted to reserve time to contact new JV partners so I could get introduced to new people.
And in the process of adding all my members and subscribers to this ezine site, I also wanted to give them something special to "make up for" any inconvenience caused by the transfer.
When you put just these elements together, you have the ingredients of a typical product launch.
This last week was very busy as I worked to get a number of the more minor ToDo items off my list. But now, I can sit down and really take a close look at this idea of doing a 'major' product launch.
The product itself is easy to determine. My ToDo list also includes creating some new Belief Entrainment recordings for my Entrainment Package, as well as creating a "Do it yourself" kit to help people create custom recordings for their specific needs. Essentially, I would be doubling the value offered in the package, which would justify taking it from a $97 product to a $197 product, especially since having me do a fully custom Belief Entrainment program costs around $500.
Incidentally, I had recently raised the price of this package from $49 to $97 when I added a set of recordings focused on relationships and rewrote the package description page to properly describe the value it contains.
Normally, when the price of a package is raised, sales drop off for a while. In this case, this hasn't happened, so I KNOW that people are okay with the new price.
Anyway, I've already posted the survey for my affiliates, and have collected 21 responses so far. This has given me good information to work with, and it seems there may be a need to create some training materials to help everyone get better results.
As far as the rest of my ToDo list goes, I've reworked it so I can focus as much as possible on what needs to get done so we can have an amazing event. All non-essential things (like recreating my filing system here in my office) has been pushed out of the way.
And now, it's time for me to take a day off, to recharge my batteries, clear my head, and prepare myself for what lies ahead.
