EFT, The Secret To Abundance And Prosperity

Written by Eric Johnson

Emotional Freedom Technique, or EFT, is a method of energy healing used to balance the body’s energy by removing negative emotions to increase energy flow. EFT practitioners gently tap on a person’s acupuncture points while guiding their focus to a limiting belief and it’s resolution, thus removing energy blockages on your road to abundance and prosperity.

EFT is a gentle and refined process that allows a person to remove limiting beliefs that are of no good use and reveal the underlying abundant true self. You can use EFT on yourself or have an EFT practitioner guide you through the process.

EFT involves tapping traditional acupuncture points on your body called meridians, usually with the first two fingers of your dominant hand. While tapping along the meridian points you make a statement of self love and acceptance despite your particular limiting issue. This is the “setup”:

“Even though I am ______ (fill in with limiting statement, i.e., “unable to accept true love,” or “resisting making more money for myself”), I choose to love and accept myself.” Repeat this statement three times as you tap each of the following points.

We are addressing the problem with acceptance and self love while tapping on our energy centers. This forces out the negative emotions and allows the positive to flow naturally through us.

The Tapping Points

  • Tap at the karate chop point, which is on the side of the non-dominant hand between the pinky and the wrist. Tap a simple rhythm: tap, tap, tap, tap, tap. Tap lightly so you don’t bruise yourself.
  • Tap at the eyebrow point, which is at the beginning of the eyebrow, right near the middle of the forehead.
  • Tap on the side of the eye, on the outside corner of the eye socket.
  • Tap right under the middle of the eye at the top of the cheek right on the edge of the eye socket.
  • Tap under the nose between the nose and the upper lip.
  • Tap between the chin and lower lip, in the crease on top of the chin.
  • Tap on the collarbone point. This is a little U shape at the base of the throat where the collarbones come together in the middle. Make a fist, tap right over the U shape, tapping the inside ends of both collarbones.
  • Tap under the arm about four inches below the armpit at the bra strap level. Tap with four fingers.
  • Tap at the top of the head, which is the crown point. Use all fingers and tap around in a circle at the top of the head.

Tiredness after Tapping

Even this basic EFT exercise can effectively eliminate many negative emotions. You may feel tired after you practice EFT for any of a number of reasons: first, getting rid of strong emotions is a real workout. Imagine how tired you feel after a prolonged anguished cry. If you were able to release strong and tightly-held negative beliefs you may especially feel a slight fatigue.

Another people feel tired after using EFT is because the process itself is deeply relaxing. Most of us are carrying the weight of the world to some degree on our shoulders, and that is a stressful burden. Letting go of that weight can cause a deep relaxation that mirrors tiredness.

Sometimes a person can get very tired during EFT and have trouble focusing, often saying they don’t know what issue to work on. Normally this is a method of resistance – your subconscious is unwilling to face and release these particular limiting beliefs at this time. Resistance takes a lot of energy and can leave a person feeling tired.

Because you can experience intense feelings during and after EFT, you may want to do it alone. Experts are available to guide you through it if you’d rather have that support available.

Freedom from Limiting Beliefs

EFT combines tapping with focused acceptance of our limiting beliefs to produce a gentle yet powerful cleansing to happen in our internal energy systems. Once our negative emotions and limiting beliefs are flushed out we are free to live abundant and prosperous lives.
