Website Content to Enhance Sales

Many website business owners are confused by the concept of adding freely accessible content to the same website on which they offer products for sale. They understand that posting freely accessible content will help draw people to the website where they may purchase products, but they are unsure what types of content they should post.

As a result, the content they add often competes for the website visitor's attention, and depresses sales instead of increasing them. In this short article I will clear up the mystery for you so you will always know exactly what type of content to add, and what type of content to avoid.

When adding freely accessible content to your e-commerce website, the types of content you generally want to add are things which encourage sales of the products you sell.....Read more »

Is Affiliate Marketing Sustainable?

Written by Steven Wagenheim

I've gotten into quite a few arguments during my seven plus years of marketing online. But the last couple of days have been something else altogether. Over at the Warrior Forum, one of the newer members has proclaimed that affiliate marketing is NOT sustainable as a business model. Heck, one person said it isn't a business model at all. Needless to say, this really got me all hot and bothered. Well, in this article, we're going to beat this horse to death. Sit back and relax because this is going to take a while.

I guess I need to start with why this person says that affiliate marketing is not sustainable as a business model. He claims that in order to have a sustainable business model, you have to be in control of at least two of three things and, if possible, all three. These three things are product, price and service. As an affiliate, you have no control over any of those things. He also states that no bank will give you a loan if you tell them that your business is as an affiliate marketer. Let's take point one.....Read more »

5 Ways to Turn Negative Social Media Feedback into a Positive

Written by Jordan Knox

I once went to the wedding reception of a college friend. Everyone I knew in college was there. The evening was going well as we enjoyed wonderful food, great wine, and dancing.

Halfway through the night my friend’s uncle decided a toast was necessary and staggered up to the DJ’s station. While dancing awkwardly to Men Without Hats the entire crowd stopped to listen in horror as my friend’s uncle gave the most brutally honest toast imaginable. Unlike my friend’s uncle, negative social media comments can’t be tackled and dragged off the dance floor.

Likewise, businesses are no longer dictating but rather listening and conversing with their customer base. By opening your company up for this conversation you also leave the ability for consumers to complain – loudly and publicly. What should you, as a company, do then? Below are five ways to turn that negative feedback into a positive experience.....Read more »

7 Secrets To Building Your Online Credibility

Written by Ray Edwards

In a way, the Internet may be compared to the Wild Wild West. (Where do you think the acronym 'WWW' came from?) There is no real central authority that is in charge and many scam artists take full advantage of this. Especially as a small business owner with no large company name behind yours, building credibility in the prospect's mind becomes crucial.

Here are seven ways to build your online credibility.

1. You may find it beneficial to place your picture (even a smugshot) on your website.

Brick and mortar stores have the advantage since the clerk has a direct face-to-face conversation with the customer. It is therefore easier to 'connect' and form a relationship.....Read more »

Make Money Online by Selling Low-cost Content-rich Reports

Written by Liane Bate

There is nothing that has motivated me more lately than selling some hot internet products directly from my website. Ever since adding Clickbank products to my site related to my internet marketing business, I have seen a fairly regular stream of sales coming in. The beautiful thing about it is that these products have not been over-priced courses or e-books, but are lower-ticket items in the $5-$25 price range!

You may be wondering how you can make good money online by selling such cheap products. The key is that they are not "cheap" in the sense that they have no value. In fact, they are products in high demand because they do provide exceptional value at a lower cost than other internet marketers may charge. This is why writing short, content-rich reports becomes an important and easy way to generate cash flow for your online business.....Read more »

All You Need To Know About Writing Articles

Written by Gerry

Ask any internet marketer today what the best way to get targeted traffic to your website is and they will very likely mention article writing. But, that is not all. Well-written linked articles published in as many article sites as you can find will have several advantages.

  • An increase in traffic from the article directories, through the links in your author's bio/resource box. More traffic again when copied from the article directory and published by other webmasters.
  • An increase your status and will get you recognised as an authority on your chosen subject.
  • Publicise and advertise your product, if you wrote about it.
  • The article may stay in circulation for months or years.
  • It is free.
  • Articles can be used to fill your newsletter or ezine and build a list of loyal subscribers.

The question on your mind right about now may be, "Sure Gerry but I am not a writer what do I do? How can I produce articles?"
Write about what you know....Read more »

Building Online Credibility

Written by Tanya Cash

Why is Online Credibility Important?

Credibility is defined as "the quality or power of inspiring belief". This is especially important in internet marketing because you build relationships with people that you can't touch and you can't see to read their facial expressions or their body language. The very nature of the internet precludes blind trust. The only way we can judge the credibility of another person is by what they say about themselves or what someone else says about them. We then have to judge how valid and credible the information is that is posted on their websites, blogs and forums.

What is your credibility really worth? The answer is EVERYTHING. Without credibility you won't get very far in internet marketing.....Read more »

Preparing for a major event

It's Friday, and I just sent out an ezine issue to nearly 2500 people yesterday.  If this number represented a live audience to speak in front of, it would be awe-inspiriing to step out on stage in front of that many people.  As far as email lists go, however, it's a relatively small audience.

But that's okay, because my focus is elsewhere right now, and strangly enough, it's something that will also help build my mailing list.....Read more »

Write an Effective Sales Letter

Written by Claudia Austin

Sales letters and sales copy are the internet marketer's most important tools. Effective writing skills can help you generate a significant increase in sales or new business leads. Your sales letter copy is what stands between the customer and a conversion or a sale of the product or service you want to promote. Because the sales letter makes the first impression to the customer, many marketers just like you who don't have expert copywriting skills hire professional writers to craft high converting sales letters for their campaigns, but hiring professional writers to do your copywriting for you can be very expensive and if you are new to internet marketing you may not have a budget for hiring freelancers. That leaves one option - improve your own writing!....Read more »
